there are lots of days I wake up just out of gas.
drained physically, emotionally or both.
it’s gone on for years.
(i have an incurable condition => fatherhood, exacerbated by early onset entrepreneurship)
sometimes things HAVE to happen. sometimes they don’t, and I let myself / make myself rest during the day (it usually and unfortunately feels unnatural)
as much as my mind says “I should do stuff today” my body is just toast since waking up.
i love the ideas of naps and sometimes can take one when I truly am tired… but then I’m usually groggy for hours afterwards, so it’s not a free lunch.
lying in bed sort of meditating / breathing helps, as an interim step until I can get real sleep at night.
i’ve noticed if while testing I read or watch a show, I don’t get the same level of deeper rest.
in fact… I’m writing this from bed (so not really resting)
how do you rest, what works for you?

exhaustion / rest
Building a legacy takes a lot out of you.
I (attempt) to take a sabbath every Saturday. It helps a lot, but I only have 2 kids. ;)
