A lot of what you described really resonated with me. We chatted a bit on LinkedIn and I'm definitely interested in learning more. A few things that have jumped out to me (as I'm in the process of finishing my book now):

1. What 'not' to put in. As I've been thinking more and more about the subject area I keep coming up with more things that I could include... I've already found myself adding bits in, including a whole extra chapter. But I also know that it's a book , not an encyclopedia.

2. Strategies around editing - especially the bit where you are trying to check the flow of the book. Its easier to edit chapters in isolation. But trying to hold the whole book in your head is hard.

Hey David - great questions. Especially around what NOT to put in... it's easy to add in too much "useful but ok" content that dilutes the book. IMHO we'll want to see learner, meaner, more targeted books as content/AI keeps exploding.

Also editing b2b books isn't nearly as hard as I would imagine fiction is (haven't done that though!)
